Rambling in the alleys of the village, you can observe the old three-storey manor houses, which are decorated with carven ceilings and doors with colourful loopholes and frescos. The manor houses of Vriniotis-Fortounas ,Koumpourelos, Kritikos, Vogiatzis and Koutmanis are worth visiting . They are true monuments of primitive Pelion architecture and carving .From these, the manor houses of Vriniotis-Fortounas and Vogiatzis are preserved in excellent condition as they are inhabited to this day , whereas the manor house of Koutmanis was bought by the community of Trikeri so as to be gentrificated and used as a maritime museum and cultural centre.

  MONASTERY OF " PANAGIA"

In 1835- 1837 ,on the island of old Trikeri , on the ruins of a temple which was set afire by pirates in 755 there was built a triune temple with three recesses , on the point where a miracle performing icon of " Panagia " was discovered (10-9-1825) . The chancel is carved and the icons are of byzantine art. 50 cells circle the church of " Panagia " , eagerly awaiting the worshippers.

  THE OLD MILL   WELLS

A footpath that begins at the central square of the village and leads to Agia Kiriaki guides the promenaders' steps to the remains of the old mill.

The stone pillar next to the wells that are situated under the big platan bears testimony to the year of their construction in 1797

  THE HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

The cobbled alley which starts at the village square leads to the top of the hill. There is the Holy Trinity Church , a big basilica built in the 18th century. The frescos that decorate the church are magnificent.

Its chancel , one of the best paradigms of wood carving ,was made in 1739. There are three chancels, like this in the Balkans, all of which were made by the same artist. One is the chancel of the Holy Trinity Church in Trikeri , the other one can be found in a church in Bulgary and the third is in the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

The carven priedieu of "Panagia" , an exemplary of foreign art and a part of Napoleon's throne , was bought from Barcelona by Trikeri shipowners.

The church is open on festivals, Sunday mornings and on weekday afternoons for a little time. That's the time when the verger lights the vigil candles. Phone the community in case you want to see the church's treasures . A hospitable villager will show you around.

THE LIGHTHOUSE

THE ISLAND PRASOUDA

Within 10 minutesfrom Geroplina there stands the Trikerilighthouse .The lighthouse -keeper lives there permanently.

In Prasouda the only thing that attests the fact that once upon a time there walked a human being is the beautiful byzantine monastery whichis dedicated to the festival of" Zoodochos Pigi "(celebrated on Friday after Easter).
